eGovernment expanding in Australia

 

Various reports have found that key Australian government agencies are failing to measure if their delivery of services through online channels is effective. Now, the Federal Government wants more interaction with the public. It wants to learn from other industries how to use games and social media to engage with the community, according to the chief information officer for the Australian Treasury. Some sections of government already use social media to consult and engage with the community, including a plethora of blogs, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, but the government wants to see more.
